The Town of Blowing Rock is one of NC’s favorite High Country tourist destinations. Featuring magnificent mountain views and cooler summers, Blowing Rock is well known throughout the southeast. The quaint downtown has amazing restaurants, unique shops, and a fabulous downtown park, all just minutes away from scenic Bass Lake and the Blue Ridge Parkway. Local attractions include The Blowing Rock NC’s oldest travel attraction known for amazing views of the Blue Ridge Mountains and Johns River Gorge, Tweetsie Railroad- a family-oriented Wild West amusement park, Moses H Cone Memorial Park- which features a 1901 mansion with incredible views of the mountains and trails for hiking and horseback riding. Appalachian Ski Mtn is a popular spot for snow skiing, snowboarding and ice skating in the winter months.

Downtown events include Art in the Park featuring a wide array of arts and crafts from acclaimed artisans one Saturday each month from May through October, followed by a free outdoor Concert in the Park on Sunday. Blowing Rock Charity Horse Shows are held several weeks in the summer months, supporting education and local charities.
