Meet Darrell

Get to Know Me: Meet Darrell Pennell. He's a native of Caldwell County and has spent nearly his entire life here, aside from his college years. Darrell holds both a Bachelor's and a Master's degree from Appalachian State University and spent 33 years teaching high school social studies.

In addition to his teaching career, Darrell is active and well-respected in our community and is a strong advocate for our schools. He has served on the local Board of Education for over 13 years. His passion for education led him to represent Caldwell County on the North Carolina School Board Association Board of Directors for the past six years, including a term as President from 2022 to 2023. He is also an active member of his church, serving as a Sunday School teacher and a deacon at the First Baptist Church of Lenoir. In his leisure time, he enjoys travel, hiking, and volunteering, and he's a sports enthusiast.

Parallel to his teaching career, Darrell ventured into the field of real estate, where he has been an actively involved REALTOR® for over 42 years. He is a member of the Catawba Valley Association of Realtors and the Charlotte Canopy MLS, with extensive experience in Caldwell, Catawba, Alexander, and Burke counties. Darrell takes pride in going the "extra mile" to offer the best service to every client. His professional and caring approach aims to make buying and selling property much easier for you.
