Home to a historic downtown offering great locally owned restaurants, incredible festivals including the famous North Carolina Blackberry Festival in the summer, along with the annual Sculpture Celebration at Broyhill Walking Park. Lenoir and Caldwell County are well known for their sculpture collections throughout the county, one of the largest per capita in the United States! In the past Lenoir, NC was known as the Furniture Center of the South. Although still a prominent furniture manufacturer with known brands such as Bernhardt, Fairfield, Kincaid and McCreary Modern, we are now known as a tech center with Google’s data processing center, as well as a pharma center with Excela and Stallergenes Greer located in Lenoir.

Lenoir has phenomenal facilities for exercising including a large Aquatic Center featuring two Olympic sized pools, racquetball courts and a mountain biking course, the Mulberry Recreation Center and the Martin Luther King Center. We have miles of open Greenway paths and trails, hiking/biking at Hibriten Mountain and numerous fitness centers, including the Quest4Life Wellness Center, a state-of-the-art facility, a division of UNC Healthcare. Other local activities include Bo’s Bodacious Family Entertainment with putt-putt, bowling and laser tag, Lenoir Golf Course and the first salt cave in the High Country area, Wolf Moon Salt Cave and Stress Reduction Center.
